The DOT Model Classroom is an educational world built for BridgeMakers, based on a conflict resiliency teaching model developed & taught by Dr. Ruth Diaz.
After 10 years of 2D limitations, Dr. Diaz worked with Nimzy to conceptualize the model in 3D, requiring a deep dive into the model itself on Nimzy’s part. The final build, completed in the span of 3 months, was a highly impactful teaching tool, and the realization of a 10 year long dream for Dr. Diaz.
In this world you will find...
An intricate, animation-based 3D “slideshow” that teaches
the "Deepen" portion of the DOT Model in a very specific sequence.

A standing platform for students, specifically kept organic and uneven
to encourage an active, engaged mindset rather than letting students
settle into a stable place where they can zone out.

Moderation elements to increase voice volume in the center of the room.
This works for the instructor and any students who step inside the circle.
A rooftop area with other conflict resiliency teaching tools, as well as space
for event gatherings that go beyond the "Deepen" learning sequence represented in the DOT Model classroom.

A firefly bridge that connects this rooftop space to a viewing platform over the DOT Model classroom where students can watch the class from above.
A beautiful courtyard with a sunburst floor design, which is used for welcoming
guests and running pre-class exercises.
A conceptual iteration of 'Orient,' the next phase of the DOT Model.
This model was made while working with Dr. Diaz to conceptualize how the DOT Model could be transformed into a 3D teaching tool.
