This series of worlds, built for AltspaceVR where Vitality ReAwakened based all of their earliest events, were the start of Nimzy's career in 3D art.
All were meant for hosting regular, virtual events, and were her first attempts at bringing magic to the lives of those around her. This series included an RPG game world, a neon nightclub for live DJ events, a temple space for safe conversations about life and death, an aromatherapy education world, and other meaningful spaces meant to provide practical tools for improving well-being.
All were mostly static due to platform limitations, so Nimzy got creative with her designs to create interactivity using the limited resources at her disposal.
Goal Climbers Mountain, a mountain used for "Goal Climbers", Vitality ReAwakened's introductory event. This was her first ever world build, built completely with AltspaceVR assets.
This event invited guests to share a goal they were working on, then
check in each week to say how it was going.
Every week they showed up for themselves, their little orange token---which held a text description of their goal---was manually moved further up the mountain to represent growth, making their progress easier to see.
An aromatherapy teaching world. This was a world built with a
combination of Altspace assets and Unity upload.
It was used to explain the origin of aromatherapy, the science behind using essential oils, and how to safely use them for personal well-being.
___
Unpictured is a room that was pitch black other than three floating, dancing skeletons and the particle effects placed on them to represent the body processes firing off when a person smells an essential oil.
This room was a guest favorite!
A temple garden. This world was originally built to be a personal journey through a beautiful space while listening to specially curated meditation music.
Later it was repurposed to host safe, enlightening conversations about
life and death with a multi-trained birth/ death doula.
It was Nimzy's first world built fully in Unity.
Goal Climbers Tower. This tower was a custom built, "new and improved"
base world for the Goal Climbers event.
Each level was meant to represent the next step upward in achieving a goal.
___
Don't tell, but Nimzy always liked the original Goal Climber's world best....
A sound healing cavern. This space was a cavern located behind a waterfall, containing a clear pool that held reflections of the universe. Stars above made the cavern feel even more magical.
Guests would come in to do a sound meditation while watching trippy psychedelic visuals on a large screen at the front of the room.
It was a simple, dark space that reduced distractions while still inspiring awe and connection to a higher energy.
One of Nimzy's favorite Altspace builds, Neon Rain, was a nightclub
built to host live DJ parties with Dr. Hartbeatz.
It was named 'Neon Rain' because of the confetti bombs that guests could dance with, making it rain neon colors all around them.
It also included a maze for guest entertainment, a side dance room
with graffiti on the walls, and a classic Nimzy glowing tree of life.
An RPG Tower. This world was built to teach people how to play Dungeons and Dragons, mostly because Nimzy loves D&D but didn't have anyone to play with.
It turned into a beautiful tower, complete with descriptions of all of the different races and classes, as well as a battle map on the roof for actual playability.
___
This was Nimzy's first foray into using AI, allowing her to create beautiful graphics to represent the different D&D races and classes.
A fantasy world. Still exploring world building for RPGs, Nimzy built an environment meant to make players feel like they were immersed in a fantasy world while playing role-playing games.
Another Vitality ReAwakened event leader later repurposed the world
for hosting board game events as well.
A new and improved aromatherapy world. One of Nimzy's last AltspaceVR builds, she built a fully Unity-based essential oil education world. The class was the same, just with upgraded aesthetics.
She was a little sad to say goodbye to the dancing skeletons from the original....
